When I moved to the High Desert nine years ago, I knew I would love the wide, open sky. Especially at night, filled with bright stars. I had no idea how spectacular the sunsets would be.

Over the years, I've probably taken thousands of pictures of clouds and sunsets up here. Most of them are terrible, but, I thought I'd share some of the highlights of the last few months.....

We've enjoyed the luxury of this view behind our house because new home construction all but came to a halt in the area shortly after we moved in.

On cloudless days, there's not much to see. But, thanks to all of the storms we've had, the last year has been filled with gorgeous evenings.

Sadly, every sunset must end. And, so will my time with this view. Soon. It's hard to see in the pictures, but last week they put up the temporary power lines for construction again. So, in just a few short months, I'll have a view of the sun setting behind new rows of houses, instead of the mountains 😢

But, for a time, this view is still mine, and I intend to enjoy it for as long as it lasts....
I wish you a beautiful day, night, or some time in the between!
